Uffizi Virtual Experience Milano was held from the 22nd of January to the 13th of March 2016 in the Cathedral of theFabbrica del Vapore, a space dedicated to hosting cutting edge Italian cultural events.

The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Arts and Culture, Ministry of Tourism, the City of Milano and the City of Florence and part of the Return to the Future initiative promoted by the Cultural Office of the City of Milano.

A calendar full of free cultural events permitted visitors to fully experience this amazing digital exhibition with activities for every age group.
Art history talks, interactive lessons, and activities developed for elementary, middle and high school visits with a guide who gave students an in depth view of the Renaissance and how technology can help us understand it.

Monday through Friday graduates from the Luca Ronconi Theatrical School, using UffiziTouch® Cloud technology, guided visitors through the exhibit concentrating on a theme, developed by art historian Irene Martinelli, to help students discover art in a totally new and innovative way, allowing them to more fully experience these wonderful masterpieces.

Saturdays and Sundays concentrated on family visits: children from ages 3 to 12 could come and have fun while learning about the Uffizi through games, activities and talks.
Many different types of events, from plays to comics, guided kids as they learned about art while having fun.

To adults, every Thursday at 19:30 there were free cultural appointments in the spaces of the digital exhibition, with expert speakers of art, fashion, food and wine, technology and digital humanities.
